Examples of Technical Applications of the FXA

Example: Determination of the Center of Rotation (CoR) from screenshots of an animation, in this case a Finite Element Analysis.

Example of the tightening process of a medical implant prototype. In this case the rod diameter was exactly known, and with this the relative motion of the rod, the bone screw and opening of the head could be measured and analyzed.
The pictures were taken with the implant and a low-end consumer camera held by hand. A tripod setup is recommended for such applications to further improve image quality and thereby accuracy.

Example: Documentation of the (invisible) pivot point and angular range of a test fixture. Standard pictures were taken by hand with a consumer camera without particular attention to a normal view on the objects.
If at least one dimension of a visible object is known, a scaling factor can be applied to the image and additional measurements can be made (like the position of the CoR from the edges).
